The R.M. Williams ‘We’re the Makers’ campaign celebrates the artists, materials, and craftsmanship that make R.M. Williams a leading icon in bootmaking.
I was commissioned to design and paint a traditional hand lettered window sign to highlight the campaign and complement the expertly crafted boot rack displayed behind the window.
Seeing this project through from start to finish was very rewarding. It began with the development of the logo, starting with hand drawn lettering sketches. Through ongoing conversations with Eli and implementing feedback along the way, we achieved a fully finished vectored logo we were both proud of.
I then expanded on the logo to the shopfront signage, incorporating traditional lettering reminiscent of old delis and milk bars from the mid-century.
Finally, I designed and painted a mural that complements the ornate boutique packaging and vibrant foods, drawing people in from the street into a paradise of deliciousness.
The Earlwood Hotel underwent a stunning redesign by Five Foot One Design, and they needed a mural for their courtyard. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant Greek influence in the neighbourhood and using a warm colour palette established by the designers, I created an eye catching mural that perfectly complements the new fit out. The mural is abstractly appealing from a distance while revealing intricate texture detail up close, mimicking the look of a classic fresco.
